Alison Conrad'10 Accepted into the Canadian Conservation Corps

Updated: Oct 22, 2019

Alison Conrad'10 has always been passionate about the conservation of our environment. Recently she has been accepted into the Canadian Conservation Corps, which is run by the Canadian Wildlife Federation. It is a new initiative and is delivered as a three-part program over a nine-month period. The program deeply engages young Canadians in our natural and cultural heritage through three modes of experiential learning: Wilderness Adventure, Service through conservation field work and Education outreach in their local community. Alison is off to British Columbia at the end of October for the first stage of the program.

"I have been passionate about the environment since Grade 12 when I decided to study environmental science at university. I am really excited to see where this opportunity takes me, so I can make the kind of positive impact on people and planet that I have always wanted to make."

We wish Alison all the best as she embarks on this amazing opportunity!
