On November 1, Brianna (Orr) Stratton’04, Akila Whiley’08 and Alfred Burgesson’15 joined us as we hosted our first alumni career panel at Grammar for our high school students. Brianna is the Founder and President of DeNova, a Halifax-based biotechnology company focused on developing an environmentally sustainable protein source, Akila is finishing her family medicine residency in June, with hopes to open a family clinic in Halifax, and Alfred is currently the founder of HFX Collective, an organization that aims to foster Collective Impact, Youth Engagement, and Sustainable Development. Each graduate spoke about their journey to their current career, and all expressed the important role Grammar played in their success. Thank you again to Brianna, Akila and Alfred for taking the time to give back to Grammar!
